The Cleveland Browns will soon be moving from downtown Cleveland to Brook Park hopefully for the 2029 NFL season. With the Browns moving from downtown to Brook Park, there is no doubt that there have been some mixed reactions from this fanbase.
Cleveland has had a history of bad memories at the current stadium; they are at but hopefully there will be good memories at the new stadium. At some point when the Browns move, the stadium they are currently at will need to be demolished.
Cleveland Mayor Hopes That the Cleveland Browns Ownership Group Will Contribute To the Demolishing Of the Stadium When the Time Comes
Rich Exner of cleveland.com reported that Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb hopes that the Browns will contribute to the cost of tearing down the stadium. Bibb said,
“We have spent a half-billon dollars since 1999 to support the Browns and support the Haslam family with the stadium. So it is my hope that the Haslams and the business community will support this administration and the city to demolish the stadium to ensure we have a transformation of the lakefront.”
The Browns current home stadium is at Huntington Bank Field in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. It will be interesting to see how the transition from downtown Cleveland to Brook Park will go in the future also.
