‘Slowest golfer ever’ – Paige Spiranac doesn’t hesitate when asked most famous person she’s played with

Posted on June 26, 2025

Paige Spiranac, the former college golf star turned social media standout, never shies away from sharing candid—and often hilarious—accounts of her time on the greens. On a recent episode of the Vanity Index Podcast, the 32‑year‑old influencer was asked the classic question: “Who was the most famous person you’ve played golf with?” Her answer didn’t just name-drop—it delivered comedic gold.

Paige revealed that at the Genesis Celebrity Ryder Cup, she teamed up with Nick Jonas to take on none other than Hollywood blockbuster star Chris Pratt. But rather than lauding Pratt’s golf prowess, she told the audience that he was impressively kind—and exceptionally slow.

“Might be the slowest golfer I’ve ever played with… Super nice guy, unbelievably slow,” she laughed.

According to Spiranac, what should’ve been a quick nine-hole round turned into a lagging saga: “We were like four holes behind on a nine‑hole little thing… ‘Hit the golf ball, hit it!’”. One account noted the round took a staggering 3 hours 30 minutes—an eternity in pro‑am terms.

Still, it’s clear these remarks are made in jest. Pratt’s charm and storytelling brought a personal touch to the match—even if it slowed things down. And Spiranac admitted she loved the experience, even as she playfully called him “Slow‑Lord”.

But that wasn’t the only superstar encounter. Nick Jonas, Pratt’s teammate in that round, was hardly the top marquee name in Spiranac’s golf résumé. She saved that honor for an unforgettable foursome featuring Mark Wahlberg, Justin Timberlake, and Gary Player—a golden trio by any measure.

Spiranac called that lineup “pretty sick”—and who could argue? From Timberlake’s chart‑topping tunes and Wahlberg’s Hollywood clout to Player’s legendary golf career, it was a once‑in‑a‑lifetime blend of talent on and off the course.

Another memorable moment came from her high‑production collaboration video with Bryson DeChambeau, the hard‑hitting PGA star. Paige described it as “outrageous,” noting how the sound and sight of his drives left her breathless. Clearly, whether it was a celebrity‑packed charity event or high‑spirited golf content, Spiranac’s star-studded rounds keep her followers hooked.

Why it matters

This story isn’t just a fun anecdote—it shows how golf can unite stars from every sphere. Spiranac stands at that crossroads, blending genuine sport knowledge with pop‑culture charm. Her lighthearted take on Chris Pratt highlights a gulf between celebrity and competitive golf, but it also underlines the joy of shared experiences—even when time ticks away slow as a ball on the green.

If there’s one takeaway, it’s that golf isn’t just about strokes—but stories. And in that department, Paige Spiranac continues to deliver some of the best on—or off—the fairway.
