OMG! Coco Gauff donated half of her prize money from winning the Roland Garros title, amounting to €1.2 million, to a charity fund dedicated to supporting Black children. The charity, known as “The Black Child Fund,” is a well-known organization in the UK that focuses on empowering young Black children through education, mentorship, and opportunities in various fields, including sports. Coco said, “I want to do my part to show love and understanding for Black children. Every child deserves to feel valued and supported, and it’s important for me to give back to those who may not have the same opportunities.”
But Gauff didn’t stop there. She also organized an event where children could experience a day of tennis with her. The special event allowed young participants to interact with their idol, learn new skills, and experience the joy of playing tennis, making for a memorable day of connection and inspiration.
